AT THE HEART OF HEALTH REHAB IS A SKILLED AND DEDICATED TEAM.

For all the modern bricks and mortar, for all the state-of-the-art systems and equipment, what truly matters is the knowledge and passion of your therapy team. Get to know the people you’ll be counting on.

Elmer Pillon, Director

He is, simply stated, the face and personality of Health Rehab. As a Managing Partner and accomplished PTA, Elmer can be found, well, just about everywhere in and out of our facility. He’s relentless in encouraging patients to reach their goals, in opening lines of communications with South Florida physicians and in setting the standards for all of our therapists. His early experience in taking care of his own parents has benefitted every Health Rehab patient. He’s a kayak fisherman, X-Games vertical half pipe competitor, mountain biker and Everglades explorer, with a life devoted to making people better.

Luke Wexler, Director

Health Rehab’s Director of Operations earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Florida State University and Master of Business Administration in Finance at American Continental University. Luke spent 15 years as Associate Director of Compliance at Verizon Wireless before joining Health Rehab as a Managing Partner. He’s a Six Sigma Black Belt with remarkable skills in process improvement. When he’s not defining and refining every aspect of our facility, you can find him challenging mountain bike trails all over South Florida. He’s a high energy, low maintenance executive, making Health Rehab the standard for other facilities to follow.

LaBrent Harrell, DPT

What motivated LaBrent to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at the University of South Florida? And his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeast? He simply says “I love restoring health and function to others.” He enjoys astronomy, fishing and bowling, and shares his life with “a loving wife and beautiful son.” His goal is to, one day, have a clinic of his own. Until then, he’s ours. And we’re grateful he’s with us.

Allison Reiss, DPT

With Allison’s stated goal of “always being a student of life,” Health Rehab is happy to give her an A+. This University of Central Florida graduate, with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern, consistently motivates our patients to achieve their goals. A health and fitness devotee, Allison Reiss brings energy and enthusiasm to work with her and enjoys “being able to help people live their lives by squeezing the most out of every day.”

Vicki Tran, DPT

Driven by a strong desire to “do good in the world,” Vicki became the first in her family to earn a medical degree with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. “It’s beyond gratifying,” she says, “to help people feel better and get back to their lives.” Vicki loves the outdoors and cherishes time well spent with family, friends and her dog (“but not necessarily in that order,” she says with a wink).

Dori Rubin, PT

Dori’s Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida barely scratches the surface of her remarkable experience and achievements. She is Schroth-certified by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School www.scoliosispt.com. As a teen with scoliosis, she “fell in love with a fulfilling, rewarding profession that provides health through exercise and conservative treatment … a profession that never feels like work.”

Brittany Q. Ester, OT

Brittany earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Miami’s Barry University and, happily, brought her talents to Health Rehab. If it has anything to do with athletics, she’s interested (particularly soccer). Her continuing education will soon lead her to a certification in hand therapy and the title of CHT. She’s grateful for “family, friends, good health, the opportunity to help people, and sunny beaches everywhere.”

Arlene Kreindel, RRT

Arlene, our resident Registered Respiratory Therapist, earned her Associate’s degree at Miami-Dade Medical College at Mount Sinai and specializes in pulmonary rehabilitation. Her stated goal is to do a good deed and make someone smile each and every day. She puts it best when saying “nothing’s more rewarding than making a healthy change in the lives of my patients.” Take a deep breath, Arlene. And thanks for helping Health Rehab patients do the same.

Jeff Hollen, PTA

When he’s not expending energy on his Taiko drums (at home, not here) he is a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant and a fixture here at Health Rehab. “I really like to help people and support their goals,” says Jeff, and he proves it with a can-do attitude and maximum effort. He earned his Associate’s degree at Broward College and enjoys leisure time with his son.

Rob Cassano, PTA

His family’s medical background inspired Rob to launch his career as a Physical Therapy Assistant. His positive attitude and insistence on learning new professional skills every week have served him well ever since graduating Broward College with his Associate’s degree. He loves the outdoors, learning new skills and seeing patients reach their goals. He is a true student of human anatomy and considers himself lucky to have “the greatest job in the world.” And we’re lucky to have Rob.

Kelly Matusik, PTA

With an Associate’s degree in Science from South University and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from FSU, Kelly joined Health Rehab “with a passion for helping others reach their goals. Her own experience in physical therapy, as a high school student recovering from sports injuries, inspired her career path. Kelly is determined to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Bet against it at your own risk

Kaela Forbes, Front Desk

This Broward College business and marketing major is one of the first people to greet you at Health Rehab. When she’s not making every patient feel welcome and at ease when they come through Health Rehab’s front door, she’s into decorating and working on her degree. Ask her what she’s grateful for and she’s happy to say, “all my blessings and everything in my life.”
